Edinburgh is a jungle...at least it is if you know where to look. The caw of parrots and roar of tigers aren’t sounds you’d ordinarily associate with Leith, but ever since Jungle Adventure set up base camp on Easter Road, there’s been a new kind of wildlife in town. Admittedly, the roaring comes from the kids running amok at the soft play centre and there are no exotic animals to watch out for. In all other respects though, Jungle Adventure is the real deal: a place where little ones can explore, climb, indulge their sense of adventure and generally let off steam. Their parents, meanwhile, are at liberty to nurse a cuppa and watch the carnage unfold or get proactive and join in with the ruckus. The centre forms a safe, supervised environment in which kids can play, learn and forge friendships as they roam the lurid jungle that beckons to them. With comfortable seating and a top-notch cafe serving tasty snacks and home-cooked meals, parents haven’t been overlooked either. Take the little ones for an afternoon of fast-paced fun or book the play centre for a birthday party they’ll remember for a long time to come.
